SCOTT Young believes Chalvey Sports will be in a David v Goliath situation when taking on Windsor in round three of the Hellenic League Challenge Cup at Arbour Park tonight (7.45pm).

Chalvey are currently second in Division Two East but suffered their first defeat of the season when losing 2-1 away at Abingdon Town on Saturday.

Windsor stand ninth in the Premier Division table and reached the last-16 of the FA Vase this season with a 3-1 win at Eastbourne Town last weekend.

Chalvey were beaten in their only previous match against Premier Division opponents and Young is aware that there is a 'massive jump in class'.

However, he hopes The Stabmonks can put on a good show and admits it would be an excellent achievement to eliminate Windsor from the competition.

The Chalvey Chairman told the Observer: "Windsor have always been a non-league club and are a very good side. They are well respected and well run, and I don't see that changing in the future.

"If you would have said a couple of years ago that we would be playing the Windsor first team in a cup competition I probably would have laughed.

"We will be massive underdogs but are hoping to perform to our better levels and it would be excellent to win.

"We made a brave decision to move into the Hellenic League and had a good season last year.

"We've beaten teams in Division One last season and this year but you can tell there's a massive jump in class to the Hellenic Premier.

"There are superior fitness levels but the pitch will be no problem. There's an obvious class difference but all we can do is give it our best and see where it takes us.

"It's great to still be in the competition but we will go into the game as massive underdogs. If we can put on a good show I know the manager will be very happy."
