CLAIRES Court Under 13 girls have won the ISA London West Netball Tournament – qualifying them for the national finals in York next March.

Claires Court began their campaign with a narrow 9-8 victory against St Catherine’s School, before they sealed a far more convincing 10-0 success against against LVS.

They followed this up with another big win – 11-1 against Hawley Place – and finished the group games with a tough 8-8 draw against Alton School.

Having won their group Claires Court went through to the semi-finals as winners and played the home team Sherfield School.

Claires Court’s defence and centre court were strong, making lots of interceptions, and their attack worked hard keeping good possession of the ball.

The result was a fantastic 10-1 win and a place at the national finals.

And they put the icing on the cake by proving too good for Alton 11-8 in the final to become champions.
