GEORGE Green Juniors have won the Berks & Bucks FA Charter Standard Club of the Year award.
At the awards ceremony it was said how well the club had increased to 10 teams in a short space of time, had supported the community, helped put coaches through their level one course and assisted players from older sides to become referees.
With women’s football becoming more popular, George Green Juniors wanted to help and did so by donating a kit to Wexham School in Norway Drive.
Club secretary Stephen Hale met with players from the school when the Berks & Bucks FA held a girls fun week.
He said: “We’re extremely pleased to have helped Wexham School after speaking to them at the girls fun week.
“After a discussion at the football club we felt that we would be making the right choice in donating kit to them.”
