THAMES Valley Kings star Greg Rose will join Team Anne for the Superhero Tri Series at Dorney Lake in August.
The wheelchair basketball club member will compete in one of 12 teams headed by celebrity guests including eight-time Paralympic gold medalist Sophie Christiansen CBE and Adam Leg, the host of Last Leg on Channel 4.
Rose, 45, who plays guard for the Kings Division Three adults team, will be captained by Anne Dickens, a two-time World Champion and British Paralympic gold medal-winning paracanoeist.
Dickens said: "I'm super happy that Greg is in my team. When we ready his story, we were all uplifted by his positivity and he really captures the spirit of what it takes to be a true superhero."
"With Greg on the last leg of the race, I'm even more certain that I have the winning team.ā
Rose stated: "Iām really looking forward to taking part in this awesome event, representing the Thames Valley Kings and I hope I can do my team mates proud.ā
