CLAIRES Court Junior Boys under-nine football teams attended the St Bernard’s Prep School football tournament with both the A and B sides winning four matches and drawing one.

This was enough for both teams to be crowned champions in their respective tournaments.

Head of sport, Nick Butterfield, said: “The boys not only played with great sportsmanship but truly showed how much progress they have made through the course of the term.”

Justin Spanswick is head of the Junior Boys and added: “I’m so proud of the way our boys have trained. They’ve been working so hard to improve their skills and it’s lovely to see this coming to the fore during matches against other schools.

“It was a fantastic tournament and we would like to thank St Bernard’s for hosting it so well.”

The A-team included Ben Savidge, Jack Toker, Hugo Winter, Luke Robertson, Samuel Tschiesche, George Paish, Oscar Griffin and James Wojciechowicz.
