LUKESHA Morris and Leah Barrow have been in international action for England at an indoor meeting in Linz, Austria.

Both WSEH Athletics Club athletes, Morris, in her first international, was third in the 60m sprint in 7.51 seconds behind a Slovakian.

Barrow, in her second international of the winter, was fourth in the 800m in a new personal best time 2:04.03 behind the Italian winner.

WSEH had several veteran athletes competing in the UK Masters Championships at Lee Valley.

The most successful was pole vaulter Chris Mills who won the Vet 40 with a 4.20m clearance.

Neil Griffin, who has been competing for WSEH for nearly 50 years, saw his Vet 60 shot title slip away by just seven centimetres, having to settle for the silver award with 12.20m.

Janet Smith was similarly placed in the women's Vet 50 shot with her 8.58m effort.

On the track, Glen Reddington's best performance was a bronze medal in the Vet 50 60m hurdles in 9.50secs. He was also sixth in the 60m sprint in 8.29secs.
