Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence

 



Shorts Group Ltd. of Station Works, Lyndhurst Road, Ascot, SL5 9ED is applying to change an existing licence as follows:

To  add an operating centre to keep 6 goods vehicles and 1 trailer at Planners Farm, Bracknell Road, Bracknell, RG42 6LR.

Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centre(s) who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 6NF, stating their reasons, within 21 days of this notice.

Representors must at the same time send a copy of their representations to the applicant at the address given at the top of this notice. A Guide to Making Representations is available from the Traffic Commissioner’s office.



ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

(A4 NEW BATH ROAD, TWYFORD AND CHARVIL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2012

 



NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from:

1.Proceeding along A4 New Bath Road, Twyford and Charvil between its junctions with A3032 Old Bath Road and A321 Wargrave Road

2.proceeding at a speed greater than 30 miles per hour along A4 New Bath Road, Twyford and Charvil

The reason for this prohibition is to enable Wokingham Borough Council contractors to carry out essential traffic signal upgrades and road resurfacing works in safety.

The alternative route for all vehicles under 7.5 tonnes in weight will be via A321 Wargrave Road and A3032 Old Bath Road or by this route in reverse.

The alternative route for all vehicles over 7.5 tonnes in weight will be via A321 Wargrave Road, A321 Hurst Road, B3030 Lodge Road, B3030 Davis Street, B3030 Robin Hood Lane, A329 Reading Road, A329 Wokingham Road, B3350 Church Road, B3350 Pitt’s Lane, A4 Shepherds Hill, A4 London Road and A4 Bath Road or by this route in reverse.

Access for residents and businesses within the boundaries of this closure will be maintained at all times.

The restrictions to vehicular traffic will only be in effect whilst the necessary signs are displayed.

The Order will come into operation on 4th June 2012 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.  It is, however, anticipated that:

a)Works relating to traffic signal upgrades will commence on 4th June 2012 and be completed by 29th June 2012, and the road will only be closed during off-peak periods only during this time.

b)Works relating to road resurfacing works and requiring the above closure (Item 1) will commence on 18th September 2012 overnight and will be completed by 19th September 2012.

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2012

 



Take notice that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1) (a) and (c), 2(1) (a) and (b), 2(2) (c) and 4(2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which shall be to prohibit waiting along the length of road during the times specified in the Schedule below.

Copies of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons and plan may be inspected at the offices of Traffic, Transport and Road Safety Team, Neighbourhood Services at the address given below between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Mondays to Fridays.  These documents are also available online at www.wokingham.gov.uk/transport-roads-waste/roads/traffic-order-consultations/

Any objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the Traffic Management Section in the Place Based Services P.O. Box 153, Shute End, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 1WL or traffic.management@wokingham.gov.uk by no later than 9th June  2012.

Eastern Side    Measured from the kerbline extension of its junction with The Delph northwards for a distance of 10 metres.

Western Side    Measured from the kerbline extension of its junction with The Delph northwards for a distance of 8 metres.

HOLLYM CLOSE

Both Sides    Measured along the western kerbline from the kerbline extension of its junction with Easington Drive northwards for a distance of 10 metres.

EASINGTON DRIVE

North Side    Measured from the western kerbline extension of its junction with Hollym Close westwards for a distance of 10 metres.

Measured from the eastern kerbline extension of its junction with Hollym Close eastwards for a distance of 10 metres.

HOLLYM CLOSE

Both Sides    Measured along the western kerbline from a point 10 metres north of the kerbline extension of its junction with Easington Drive northwards for a distance of 41 metres.

MILL LANE

Both Sides    Measured along the north eastern kerbline of Mill Lane from a point 29 metres north west of the south western kerbline extension of Marfleet Close for a distance of 24 metres.

Measured along the north eastern kerbline of Mill Lane from a point 97 metres north west of the south western kerbline extension of Marfleet Close north westwards and around the turning head for a distance of 60 metres.
