ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

(GRAZELEY GREEN ROAD, GRAZELEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)

ORDER 2012

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Grazeley Green Road, Grazeley between its junctions with Mereoak Lane and Goring Lane.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction above shall be via Mereoak Lane, Great Lea, Hartley Court Road, Pingewood Road South, Burnthouse Lane, and Fullers Lane, or by this route in reverse.

The reason for this prohibition is to enable Wokingham Borough Council contractors to carry out essential highway maintenance works in safety.

Access for residents and businesses within the boundaries of this closure will be maintained at all times.

The restrictions to vehicular traffic will only be in effect whilst the necessary signs are displayed.

The Order will come into operation on 8th June 2012 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.  It is, however, anticipated that the works will be completed the same day.

Dated this 17th day of May 2012.

S Nelson Wehrmeyer,

Director of Legal & Electoral Services,

Wokingham Borough Council,

PO Box 151,

Shute End,

Wokingham,
