THE borough's newly named Royal Windsor Way (formerly Windsor and Eton Relief Road) had its first major incident yesterday (Thursday).

Police were called to the north bound carriage at 12.32pm after a crash involving five cars.

Firefighters from Windsor and Slough stations arrived at the scene at around 1pm and one person had to be released from their vehicle.

One driver was taken to Wexham Park Hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic on the north bound carriage was brought to a half as emergency services worked at the scene, but the road was cleared by 2pm.
