DIAMOND Jubilee fever was hotting up this week as patriotic Britons celebrated all things British.

Union Flag bunting was proudly draped across buildings as communities geared up for the four-day Bank Holiday bonanza of festivities.

Youngsters at Buttons Nursery enjoyed an afternoon of cake making, painting The Queen and musical activities on Wednesday afternoon.

Jenny Soles, owner and manager of the nursery in Smiths Lane, Windsor, for 19 years, said: "The children have really taken to the Jubilee spirit and have painted some great Queens and castles. We must also say a big thank you to Tesco for giving us two Diamond Jubilee cakes."
