AN OVEN fire in a static caravan had Windsor firefighters on the scene for an hour last night.

The crew from Windsor were called to the Dedworth site off Black Horse Close at 5pm after a 46-year-old man noticed a cooker malfunction while preparing his supper.

The man waited outside while he waited for the crew to arrive but had already inhaled some smoke. He was treated first by firefighters and then by a paramedic.

A smell of burning filled the caravan but no other damage was done to the vehicle which Slough firestation were also called to.
