A404(M) to be closed this weekend

DRIVERS are being advised to avoid the A404(M) this weekend.

From 3pm on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday the road will be closed in both directions between junction 9b and the M4 junction 8/9.

The closure will allow a new bridge deck to be installed on the Kimbers Lane footbridge and steel beams will be lifted into place on the nearby Western Region Railway Bridge.

There will be a fully signed diversion in place while the work is carried out, directing northbound traffic from junction 8/9 of the M4 onto the A308(M) and the A308 through Maidenhead, before rejoining the A404. Southbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse.
