THE Royal Borough fell silent as residents joined thousands across the country to remember fallen heroes.
Deputy Mayor Cllr Catherine Bursnall led the Armistice Day service at the Guildhall in Windsor, where councillors, war veterans, residents and pupils from Dedworth Middle School paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the World Wars and recent conflicts.
It was an emotional day for Veterans in Maidenhead as they joined scores of people outside Maidenhead Town Hall.
The Armistice Day ceremony was led by the Royal Borough's Mayor Cllr Jesse Grey.
