VOLUNTEERS of all ages are being urged to come forward and help plant 13,000 daffodil bulbs.
The Royal Borough is inviting residents to sponsor the bulbs with the proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Lead member for adult and community services, Cllr Simon Dudley said: "There can be very few of us who haven't been affected by cancer, either personally or through a family member or friend, and so we as a council are glad that we can help contribute towards cancer care in this way.Residents can do their bit by sponsoring a bulb, perhaps in memory of a loved one, or by joining in one of our planting sessions."
Planting days will take place in Windsor and Maidenhead later this month.
Anyone interested in taking part can email bulbs@rbwm.gov.uk or by calling 01628 796252.
Marie Curie nurses work in the community to provide end-of-life care for patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses in their own homes.
