The Queen is heading up a search of Windsor Great Park to find the beloved pet of her granddaughter Princess Beatrice.
The missing Norfolk terrier, who answers to the name of Max, has been roaming the vast grounds of the Great Park after escaping over a week ago.
As a firm dog lover the Queen was said to be one of the first out searching for Max on her 5,000-acre Crown Estate land, before ordering her gardeners and gamekeepers to continue the hunt.
The devastated princess is now calling on the Windsor public to join forces with the Queen's staff to help find her missing mutt.
Beatrice, 20, has since drawn-up ‘missing' posters, which have been distributed throughout the surrounding area, asking residents to come forward with any information that may lead to her dog's safe return.
Max is described as being sandy coloured and missing two lower front teeth. He is believed to be not wearing a collar but is micro-chipped.
A spokesman from Buckingham Palace revealed that "we are still looking for him".
