The Royal Borough’s largest independent day school is applying for planning permission to merge three sites across Maidenhead into a single campus, while providing 221 new homes.

Claires Court School wants to create a new school campus at Cannon Lane, adjacent to its current site for Junior Boys at Ridgeway.

There would be new classrooms, teaching spaces and social areas, drama, art and music facilities. The new campus would also provide new sports pitches, including cricket, hockey, rugby and football pitches, tennis and netball courts, athletics and a multi-sports pavilion.

The school’s existing sites at College Avenue and Ray Mill Road will be redeveloped to create the 221 homes by Berkeley Homes.

In partnership with Claires Court, the campus will also serve as the permanent new home of Maidenhead Hockey Club.
