Two drivers died in a tragic three car collison on the B3022 Winkfield Road, Windsor near the Legoland roundabout shortly before 11pm last night.

A black Mercedes, silver VW Golf and a blue Mercedes were involved.

The 23-year-old driver of the VW Golf, who lived in Slough, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the blue Mercedes, a 50 year old man from Bracknell, died later in hospital.

Their next of kin have been informed.

Three other people who had been passengers in the cars were treated in hospital.

Thames Valley Fire Control Service received reports of a road traffic collision on Winkfield Road, Windsor at 10.45pm.

Two fire engines from Slough, one from Windsor and the heavy Rescue Unit from Dee Road Fire Station from Reading were sent to the scene.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release four people from the cars involved.

South Central Ambulance Service took the injured to hospital.

Fire crews were on the scene for about an hour and a half.

Investigations manager Richard Thorpe of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are investigating this tragic incident in which two men sadly lost their lives.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was on Winkfield Road before or after the collision and has any information about the vehicles or the incident to call us on 101.”
