Troops attended a meeting in Datchet Village Hall earlier this evening and have since been assessing the situation across the village.

Meanwhile, soldiers armed with sandbags were in Barry Avenue, Windsor, around an hour ago to strengthen the flood defences around the Hawker Hurricane statue.

Soldiers have also been stationed in Wraysbury to help build flood defences and reassure residents and help with evacuations if necessary.
