M4 tailback after car fire

A CAR on fire has caused tailbacks on the M4 between junctions 7 and 8/9 Westbound.

Firefighters, who are still at the scene, said the small car was well alight when they arrived at 11.37am this morning.

Police and Highway Agency staff were also called.

The car is now on the hard shoulder and it is believed the motorway has reopened.
