Iconic rowing images illuminate Windsor Castle

The projections will be shown again tonight, tomorrow night and Saturday night from 9.45pm.

HUNDREDS of people were wowed as spectacular images of Britain's glorious rowing past illuminated Windsor Castle.
The projections, designed by artist Ross Ashton, lit up the three towers facing High Street, last night.
Mr Ashton, who recently designed the record breaking Face Of Britain projection on Buckingham Palace, said: "I was approached by LOCOG and Windsor because they wanted to celebrate the feeling and emotion of rowing by taking images from real races and victories.
"We couldn't have had a better day to turn the projection on and it is an honour to have my work on Windsor Castle."
A reception at the Hart and Garter Hotel, in High Street, was hosted by Colin Rayner, Mayor of the Royal Borough, Chrissie Small, Mayor of Slough, and Alan Walters, Mayor of South Bucks District Council.
The three authorities have worked closely to ensure the Games at Eton Dorney ran smoothly and so far the disruption on the roads and to residents has been minimal.
Cllr Rayner said: "We are here to celebrate the medals won at Eton Dorney this week. I thought it was never going to come, but we would all like to congratulate the Great Britain athletes."
