THERE will be celebrations in the street to mark The Queen's Diamond Jubilee and everyone is invited to get involved.

Communities in the Royal Borough have just two weeks to apply to the council to hold a street party around the time of the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday, June 3.

The council has received 39 requests, of which 16 have been confirmed, including 10 in Maidenhead and four in Windsor. Cllr Phill Bicknell, cabinet member for highways, transport and environment, said: "A Jubilee street party is a brilliant way to get together with friends and neighbours and celebrate The Queen's special anniversary."
