THE owner of a new care company has spoke of his desire to give elderly people the help they deserve.

The Home Instead Senior Care franchise has just opened a branch in Cookham Road, Maidenhead and is set to create 50 new jobs in the area.

The branch, which provides home care to individuals ranging from companionship and meal preparation to light housekeeping and post-discharge care, is run by Paul Westgarth, a DIY expert.

Mr Westgarth has been on the board of directors of two national DIY companies but found it difficult when needed to start providing care for his mother.

He said: "That's where Home Instead came to my rescue! My mother now has a dedicated caregiver who helps her with her everyday tasks and gives her the time and respect she deserves.

"I am thrilled to be able to bring this high-quality service to Maidenhead and hope it will give local residents peace of mind that there is now a practical and personal stay-at-home option for themselves and their loved ones."
