MOTORISTS face disruption tonight when the M4 closes between junctions five and six.
The eastbound road will be closed between 10pm and 5.30am to remove traffic management.
This will be followed by a closure on the westbound carriageway between the same junctions from 10pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday.
Workers will install traffic management systems. The works are subject to weather permitting.
A diversion route will be fully signposted in both directions during the closures, directing the traffic via the A4 through Slough.
Road users are advised to check weather conditions before they set out and leave extra time to complete their journeys if they plan to travel while the closure is in place.
The traffic management is part of the ongoing major maintenance scheme that started in December 2011 and includes the upgrade and extension of the safety barriers, drainage system improvements and resurfacing of the carriageways.
