LOVE Your Community week got off to an all action start with a busy morning of cultivating and colouring.
Throughout the week the Royal Borough will host events promoting a cleaner environment, crime reduction and community involvement with libraries.
Yesterday, the initiative kicked off with a clean-up of Maidenhead Thicket, off Henley Road, and the Mayor of the Royal Borough, councillor Asghar Majeed, joined children and parents at Maidenhead Library for a colouring-in and Valentine's card making workshop.
Events will be rounded off on Friday, when residents of Sawyer's Close, in Dedworth, officially 'adopt' their street.
They will be provided with high-visibility jackets and litter pickers and take on more responsibility for keeping their street clean and safe.
