IT'S time to practice those flipping skills for the seventh helping of an egg-citing annual challenge.
The Windsor and Eton Pancake Challenge will take place next Tuesday (21/2) at Windsor Royal Shopping Centre.
This year's event promises to be bigger and batter than ever before with organisers challenging even more local companies to demonstrate their flour power and beat champions Legoland, who will be trying flipping hard to hold on to their title for a third successive year.
Sue Watts, Windsor Royal Shopping Centre manager said: "We are hoping that many companies will take up the challenge and make this a real fun business community event. So come on everyone - get in training and show us eggs-actly what you're made of!"
Teams are once again being encouraged to don the traditional pancake race gear of the 15th century housewife complete with skirt, apron, headscarf and frying pan.
The mascot race, introduced last year, will also be making a return with Nandos battling to secure their second win.
All proceeds from the age-old Shrove Tuesday activity will go towards the Diamond Jubilee Monument and the Windsor and Eton Christmas Lights Appeal.
Paul Roach. Windsor and Eton town manager said: "We encourage businesses and organisations to register their staff to join in the fun and help raise money for good causes at the same time. We raised more than £5,000 over the last six years and hope to increase that further this year."
Entry is £40 and Friday is the last chance to enter a team. For more information or to enter a team, visit www.windsor.gov.uk or www.windsorroyalshopping.co.uk
