The battle will begin

A SHOWCASE of musical talent will hit the town when bands battle it out for a place in the live finals.

Theatre Royal Windsor is hosting Battle Of The Bands, and as well as inviting bands to audition, work placements are being offered in event organisation, marketing, front of house and backstage.

The competition is open to bands of all ages and auditions will take place in February and March, before the live final on Sunday, April 15.

Battle Of The Bands producer, Charlotte Peters, said: "The Creative Projects Department is inundated with requests for work experience in all areas of theatre, so this event provides a great way to help local people of all ages boost their CV with practical experience in production management."

Bands need to apply by Wednesday, February 29, by emailing creativeprojects@kenwright.com and to apply for placements, call 01753 863444.
