Appeal for witnesses in fatal crash

A FATAL collision in Maidenhead today has sparked a police search for witnesses.
A white Piaggio Typhoon moped was involved with a white Ford Transit Van in Woodlands Park Road, close to the junction with Shoppenhangers Road, at around 12.45pm.
The rider of the moped, a 54-year-old man from Waltham St Lawrence, died at the scene and the driver of the van was not injured.
The Roads Death Investigation Unit is investigating the scene this afternoon and the road is closed off.
