A BABY trapped in a locked car was rescued by Windsor firefighters today.

The young mother was visiting the child's grandmother at the Willows Riverside Park when the wind blew the car door shot leaving the baby trapped and alone inside.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 11am and spent around half an hour using specialist equipment to gain access without damaging the vehicle.

The baby was unharmed.
