LANE restrictions will be in place at the Clarence Road roundabout from Monday for works to be carried out.

The Royal Borough has said initially the inside lane will be closed to accommodate works on the island.

At a later stage other lanes will be affected, but two lanes will remain open at all times until the end of the works in spring next year.

The lane restrictions, which are part of a programme of scheduled works, will make way for contractors to continue improvements to the roundabout including drainage, splitter islands and traffic light installation.

Lane restrictions will also be in place on the southbound Windsor and Eton relief road on the approach to the roundabout, but two narrow lanes will remain open.

Temporary give way markings will be used on the slip road from Maidenhead Road to help manage traffic through the area.

Vehicles will be diverted on Monday night to allow the setting up of the relief road lane mergers.
