Man remanded for robbery and property recovered

A 23-year-old man has been charged and remanded in prison in connection with a robbery at a jeweller in Windsor.

James Hurrell, of Wordsworth Way, West Drayton, was arrested on Friday and later charged with conspiracy to rob and receiving stolen goods. The charges are in connection with an incident at Pearl Galleries in Peascod Street, at 11.08am on August 4.

Hurrell was remanded in police custody overnight on Friday and appeared before Slough Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

He has since been remanded in prison to appear before Reading Crown Court on Monday, August 23.

A substantial amount of jewellery which was allegedly stolen during the incident has since been recovered by detectives.
