Witnesses needed to fatal crash

WITNESSES are needed to a crash on the M40 that left a woman dead.

At about 4pm on Monday (Aug 16) a collision occurred between a red MG sports car and a white Iveco panel van between junctions nine and eight on the M40's southbound carriageway.

The front seat passenger, a 55-year-old woman from Flackwell Heath died at the scene. Both males drivers were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the van, a 39-year-old man from Maidenhead was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed until October 1.
