A MAN has been arrested following a break in to the grounds of the Duke and Duchess of York's home in Windsor Great Park.

At about 5am on Monday (Aug 2) three men entered the grounds of the Royal Lodge in a vehicle believed to be a Mitsubishi Shogun, moment later they left without taking anything.

Contrary to reports in some national papers police deny that the men were seen wearing balaclavas and that they did not demolish the gates to the home. The method of entry is still under investigation.

The 43-year-old from Colnbrook was arrested on Thursday morning and remains in police custody.
