Third person charged over house fire death

AN 18-year-old man has been charged with of murder and arson with intent to endanger life in connection with a fatal house fire.

Kanwarpal Singh was arrested at Heathrow Airport late on Sunday where he was believed to be coming into the country and appeared in court on Tuesday.

He was committed for trial at Reading Crown Court and was set to have a bail application heard yesterday (Thurs)

His arrest follows the death of 23-year-old Saimah Ali during a house fire in Moor Lane, Maidenhead, on Friday, June 25.

Amaar Najib, 19, and a girl aged 17 appeared at Slough Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with murder and arson with intent to endanger life. They remain in custody and are due to appear before Reading Crown Court on Friday, July 16 for a preliminary hearing.
