Police investigating serious assault

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Maidenhead.

Officers were called when a man was found lying in the street at the junction of Cordwallis Road and Norfolk Road at about 6am on Sunday.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said that the man had been seriously assault, but no weapon was thought to have been used, and taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment to non life-threatening injuries.
