Wanted burglar caught by police

A WANTED man who has been on the run has been caught by police.

Alan King who was recently released from prison on licence having served a sentence for burglary has been on the run since last week.

The 44-year-old who has a history of violent offences breached his conditions of release after failing to turn up to a house in Windsor.

King who is originally from Maidenhead was arrested by officers yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) in the Knowl Hill area.

He is now in custody and will be recalled to prison.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance."
