Maidenhead woman dies in accident

A WOMAN from Maidenhead has died after a collision with a 4x4 yesterday (Thursday).

The 63-year-old woman was walking along Forbury Road in Reading Town Centre at 12.40pm.

She was pronounced dead at the scene despite fellow pedestrians and motorists attempting CPR.

Police sealed off the carriageway between Kings Road and Forbury Retail park while forensics officers investigate.

An 18-year-old woman driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until Saturday, March 27, for further questioning.
