THE world's eyes will be on the lucky person who manages to win a once-in-a-lifetime date with the Observer's Inderdeep Bains.

News of how readers can win the opportunity to impress Inderdeep during a romantic dinner has gone world-wide after being featured on the front page of The Telegraph in India, the Guardian Media Guide as well as one of the country's leading Asian paper, Eastern Eye.

Bids have been flooding in from men eager to wine and dine our hack, affectionately known as 'Inders' by her colleagues in the newsroom, over a slap-up three-course meal at the Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa in Sunninghill.

Inderdeep, who offered herself up for the date to raise cash for Disasters Emergency Committee's Haiti Earthquake Appeal, said: "This is such an important cause and it is great to see so many people supporting us in our efforts to raise funds for the people of Haiti.

"I hope the interest we have received from other media will help us to reach our target."

The winner will not only enjoy an evening with the 26-year-old, but will also get a host of other goodies which include:

- Tickets see to Reading Football Club

- A haircut at Jericho salon in Altwood

- Flying lesson at West London Aero Club in Maidenhead

- Tickets to Ascot Racecourse

- Spa day at Stoke Park Club which will include, two course lunch, full use of the

gym and two 55-minute treatments worth £145

- An ice go-kart session at Montem Ice Arena

Runners-up will not be left out with three family tickets to Legoland Windsor up for grabs.

All men have to do to be in with a chance of this dream date is donate a minimum of £20 to the charity. The winner will then be chosen at random.

Readers are also welcome to donate on behalf of a male family member or a friend, it doesn't matter, if they are in it they can win it! Even ladies can get on board by simply making a donation.

Anyone over the age of 18 can enter before Wednesday. The sought-after date is on Friday, February 12.
