A CHARITY run has been added to the line-up of a new action packed show making its debut in Windsor.

The only Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile race in Berkshire will be held on Sunday, March 21, during the first ever British Leisure Show - a multi-million pound event being held at the Royal Windsor Racecourse in Maidenhead Road.

The race will start at 10am and entrants will have a choice of a one, three of six mile route.

Show managing director, James Brooke said: "This is a great chance for exhibitors and visitors of all ages and abilities to rise to the challenge, raise cash, help change lives and enjoy a great day out with friends and family. If running isn't your thing, you could try walking, skipping or hopping it or even do it in fancy dress.

"As the only Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile race in Berkshire, we're offering free family tickets to the show for everyone who signs up to enter the run."

The show, from Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21, will have eight core leisure zones covering a range of activities, pursuits and facilities available to people in Britain including boats and watersports, cars and bikes and extreme sports.

The line-up will include the National Kite Flying Championships, the Royal Marines Commando Display Team with the biggest climbing wall in the UK and an elite display of superbikes and supercars.

Mr Brooke said: "This brand new event has captured the imagination of outdoor leisure enthusiasts in the UK and we're very pleased to have created such an impressive display of activities for families to experience at the event. The diverse range of products on display will provide a unique experience for show-goers, and it's clearly a great opportunity for exhibitors to meet so many new customers."
