FRUSTRATED Dawn Pugsley saw past an everyday annoyance to come up with a creative design.
The talented 47-year-old was prescribed glasses six years ago when she found out she was pregnant with her second child Zoe.
But like most people she found that she was forever losing her spectacle or they were falling off her face when she bent down to pick up her newborn.
Instead of moaning and doing nothing about it, the Testwood Road, Windsor resident decided to take action and came up with her own design.
"I came up with the idea when becoming very frustrated at having to search around for my glasses. I thought it would be great if there was something I could wear to hold my glasses, but which would also look stylish at all times.
"I therefore invented and developed the ToZo, which can be worn as a brooch or badge. By incorporating a wide choice of logos, designs and colours, ToZos appeal to all age groups," the mother of two said.
Devoting all her time and money to the project, Mrs Pugsley spent three years from start to finish designing both metal and plastic holders.
The former factory worker has also secured contracts from several leading UK companies and recently launched her product at Daniel in Windsor.
Mrs Pugsley said: "You know I left school with no qualifications and I never dreamed I would have my own patent. I feel very proud that my children can turn round and say my mum created that."
Chris Barnes Daniel spokesman added: "We are always pleased to be able to support local small businesses, and the particular ToZos stocked in the shop have been selling well."
Tozos come in a variety of designs and range in price from £4.99 to £6.99. For more information visit www.thetozo.com
