THREE people have been arrested in Dedworth following two drug raids by police.
Four officers from the Dedworth neighbourhood policing team gave two suspected dealers an unwelcome surprise after smashing down the front door of their first floor flat in Filmer Road on Friday, where they found a large quantity of cannabis.
A 30-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. Both have been bailed to appear at Maidenhead Police Station on August 6.
Insp Pete Dalton, leading the operation , said: "We received intelligence from a number of concerned residents and we able to act quickly.
"We have found at least 30 deals and evidence which suggests dealing such as phones, sims and hard drives.
"This operation just goes to show what an important part the community has to play in bringing criminals to justice.
"When they report the problems to us we can take action and make the area safer for everyone."
Two teenagers matching the description of the suspect's clients, who were passing by the flat during the raid, were also stopped and searched by police though nothing was found on them.
The raid in Filmer Road was the second of the morning in Dedworth after a 25-year-old man from Hannover Way was arrested and charged with production of a class B drug at his home. He has been bailed to appear at Maidenhead Magistrates' Court on August 5.
Anyone who suspects drug dealing in their area can contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
