Neighbourhood crime statistics available online

CRIME statistics for individual neighbourhoods have been made available online by Thames Valley Police.

The monthly statistics are available via the neighbourhood policing pages on the police website, where there is also information about individual neighbourhood policing teams, what the neighbourhood's priorities are, and what is being done to tackle those issues identified as priorities.

Residents can also click on ‘Local crime information' on the website to access a map which shows whether an area has crime levels that are below or above the region's average.

Head of Corporate Information, Gayle Rossiter, said: "At the click of a button members of the public can now see how many violent crimes, burglaries, car crimes, incidents of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour, robberies and thefts there have been month on month in their local area, and whether there has been an increase or a decrease.

"The public can now see for themselves the amount of crime there is where they live and work, and find out what their neighbourhood policing team is doing to keep them safe."
