With Bonfire fast approaching the Royal Borough's community safety team are urging residents to make the night go with a bang and not a burn.
Safety officers are asking people to take care when using fireworks as the borough bids to step up its activity to keep residents safe.
Cllr Jesse Grey, lead member for community safety, explained: "Bonfire night should be fun but safe. We urge consumers to take care when buying and using fireworks so everyone can enjoy the celebrations."
The police have imposed a strict curfew on fireworks, none should be set off from 11pm to 7am, except on November 5 when the curfew will be moved back to midnight. Any complaints about firework misuse should be reported to
the police.
Concerns regarding the underage sale of fireworks in shops should be reported to trading standards on 01628 683802.
