A NUMBER of Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs) have been issued in Dedworth to tackle anti-social behaviour.

The contracts were given to young people persistently involved in nuisance behaviour

PC Graham Slater, Neighbourhood Specialist Officer (NSO) for the Clewer, Oakley Green and Dedworth area, said: "I'm pleased to say that the behaviour of these youngsters has greatly improved, having a knock-on effect on the behaviour of their friends."

"Recently we've been working very hard to reduce the problem and have noticed a dramatic down-turn in reported incidents of anti-social behaviour in the last two months, particularly in Dedworth.

"We held an anti-social behaviour crackdown over the Easter holidays and are planning a similar operation for the summer."

An ABC is a written agreement listing anti-social acts that the offender agrees not to continue and outlines the consequences.
