Hurley river victim named

THE man who drowned in the River Thames on Sunday has named as Manmeet Singh Ahuja, from Southall.
Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 7pm after the 27-year-old disappeared under water while spending time near Hurley Riverside Park with his family.
The search was called off at around 10.45pm after his body was recovered by police divers after assistance from the fire service's Water Rescue Unit.
An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned by Berkshire coroner's office.
