One car smash in Maidenhead

FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a man free from his car when he crashed late last night.

Red Watch at Maidenhead Firestation were called to St Mark's Road, off the A4, at 10.30pm and found a Vauxhall Zafira on all fours but with damage to its roof and side.

The driver was still conscious but had to be cut free from the car before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighter Michael Pritchard said: "We are not sure how he crashed, but he might the car might have rolled over.

"The man complained of neck pain so we had to cut him out and the ambulance took him away."

No other cars were involved.
