A PETROL station just off the Windsor relief road was forced to turn motorists away today after running out of fuel.

Shell station, in Clarence Road, ran out of petrol at 10am.

A sales assistant said he was unsure when the next fuel delivery would be.

This caused long queues of motorists at nearby stations - including the BP, in Maidenhead Road.

BP store sales assistant, Rizwan Razik, said: "We are managing the queues. We had a delivery yesterday which is why we have a supply - compared to others."

There were also reports of other Windsor stations having to close because of a lack of fuel.
