Hundreds fall silent to remember fallen troops

YOUNG and old fell silent to remember fallen soldiers on Remembrance Sunday.

Hundreds of people gathered outside Maidenhead Town Hall to commemorate those who had lost their lives in the first and second world wars as well as more recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Members of the territorial army and Maidenhead Sea Cadets marched through the town from Bridge Avenue to the war memorial in St Ives Road where wreaths were laid.
