CHILDREN in Maidenhead made the most of their half term holiday last week at a holiday club and even got their voices trained by a vocal coach to the stars.

Claires Court school in College Avenue hosted four days packed with fun during the week long break from school last week.

From May 31 to June 3, the school's holiday club ran a range of activities, adventure and action, all based around the theme 'world of sports'.

Freyja Sculpher, a vocal tutor who has worked with famous singers including Gary Barlow and Olly Murs and has performed all over the world, dropped in to the club on Thursday, June 2, to teach the children what she knows.

The vocal performance workshop had a sports themed interactive session that involved sing-alongs, dancing and story sessions and was a mix of fun activities designed to boost intellectual, emotional and physical development. It ended with each group giving a small performance.

Lynne Constantine, Claires Court business development manager said: “We were delighted to welcome such a talented visitor and she was an inspiration to the children who attended our Holiday Activities.

"The children loved the different activities and the opportunity to sing together as a group.”
