It's not only David, in the Beckham family, who is handy with his feet.

When invited to collaborate on the design of a new Range Rover special edition, Mrs Beckham took the opportunity to introduce a few of her favourite things.

As a girl she liked nothing better than sinking her bare feet in the thick carpeting of her dad's Rolls Royce. In turn Land Rover's designers have indulged her footsie fantasy by introducing luxurious mohair floor mats.

The bespoke hand-finished Evoque made its debut at the Beijing motor show last week. The special edition has been 18 months in development and, following the first design meeting with Victoria, Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern (pictured) said: "Victoria inspired the use of rose gold. She was wearing dark clothes and no jewellery, apart from a rose gold man's watch. I was struck by the juxtaposition of the masculine watch on an elegant, feminine wrist. We both agreed it was the ideal way to introduce a softer touch to the bold, assertive exterior colour scheme.

"Land Rover and Victoria Beckham are British luxury brands with credibility and global appeal, this dual 'Britishness' makes the collaboration even more exciting, especially when considering the huge audience for bespoke products around the world."

The new Evoque incorporates the finest quality materials and craftsmanship. It is powered by a lightweight, all-aluminium 240PS 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, four wheel drive award winning Terrain Response system, and has an exclusive set of 20" gloss black alloy wheels with rose-gold detail.

The car also comes with a four-piece set of luggage, in hand-stitched black leather, a design based on Victoria's own luggage range, comprising two his and her's wheeled suitcases and washbags lined with microsuade, the same as used on the roof lining, with zip pulls finished in the same matt grey paint as the exterior. Additional luxuries include an 824W British made (Meridian) audio system with 17 speakers; digital and satellite TV, DVD, CD and digital radio. Plus a 360 degree camera system and automatic park assist.
