EXCITED pupils from Windsor's Glendalough School of Irish Dancing flew to Dublin on Saturday to meet and work with the cast of the show Riverdance.

They took part in a specially arranged exclusive masterclass workshop, then watched the performers warm up before enjoying the evening performance at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre.

Many of the pupils compete at a high level entering major competitions across the South East. Some are getting ready to train for Regional Championships this November and many have high ambitions of qualifying to enter national and even world championships.

Valerie Wadley, whose daughters were among those who attended the workshop said: "This was a huge coup for the school to be invited along and to be taught by world-recognised dancers – and, of course, a wonderful experience for our girls."
